Annual General Meeting
On Tuesday, October 27 at 7 pm, our congregational meeting will act as our Annual AGM. As we can only allow 50 people to attend, we would ask everyone that wants to attend to register at email@example.com by noon on Monday, October 26. If any members have misplaced their reports that were issued last year, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain a digital copy of the reports. Also, find attached the agenda for our AGM.
Candy Cruise Halloween
Our church is participating in the city-wide Candy Cruise Halloween event, organized by Dave Horton. Our church's Halloween display will be set up at the Canadian Tire parking lot along with other participating groups and businesses. Due to the anticipated volume of families participating, we need to be ready with A LOT of candy. If you would like to purchase and donate candy for this event, please drop off your donations in the designated box in the foyer. Your donations will help us keep costs down, so thank you in advance!
From the Trustees
We are looking for people to help this Winter season with snow shovelling around the Church building. We need people that are able to clear the snow every morning with a one week on rotation schedule. The more people we get the less work everyone needs to do. If you have any questions or are interested in helping please contact Wayne Hamilton through email email@example.com.
During this challenging season, we’re looking for ways to make our church, which is large and disconnected to feel smaller and more connected. Here’s an invitation for you to connect with a few others in the church to do life together through Community Groups.
What is a Community Group?
2-3 families (or up to approximately 12 people) who would gather together weekly in a home to enjoy some fellowship, prayer and watch the online worship service. This could be a great time to share a meal with one another as well! This could happen on Sunday mornings when you’d normally be attending our church service in person or it could take place whenever it works best for your group!
How to get involved?
Ideally if you have people in your lives that you’re already connected to in CHBC you would form your group of 2-3 families or some friends and reach out to us and let us know!
Are there families that you connect with already that are in your bubble? Make a plan with them to create a group!
If you’re not connected but you’d like to give this a try, reach out to us by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to plug you in! If you’re willing to host a Community Group, or have room for more people in your current group please let us know!

Falcon Rock Bricks Fundraiser: Praise the Lord we are now at $21,536 – only $3500 still to go! Deadline for donations is just over a week away, Sunday November 1st. Thank you to all who have contributed thus far.
Andrew & Leslie Milton, Roseau River Camp: Leslie is slowly recovering from spinal (neck) surgery but is still experiencing pain and headaches. Please pray for solutions.
Dave & Crystie Tarr: Frontier Lodge, Alberta. Camp was quieter over the summer but they did have a number of Day camps. Crystie had a fall earlier in the year and is still having knee problems which may eventually require surgery. The “Explore” program was different, but very successful this year with Prairie students required to stay at the camp for the full length of the program (due to Covid).
Betty Andrews, CEF: Pray that as more contacts are made that there will be more kids signing up to join us via Zoom. Please pray for Wendy & I, for calmness, alertness and that all would go well with the technology and internet. Also pray that the kids will enjoy the new way of doing club and will be excited to keep coming and invite friends.

Tithes & Offering
CHBC supports missionaries and non-profit organizations that depend on us for their livelihood and to meet their financial needs. As you continue to care for your family, please consider giving your tithes and offerings to these ministries as you have done so generously in the past.
There are several ways to donate to CHBC Ministries:
