CHBC Summer Worship

This year we will continue to have 2 worship services throughout the summer – one at 9 am and 10:45 am. Children’s Church will be offered in the 10:45 service, but the 9 am Sunday School will not be resuming until the fall. The final Sunday School will be on June 17th.

Staff 

• A huge welcome to our Pastor of Ministry Development, Scott Ross!
• Pastor Curtis will be taking some time off in August.

Compassion Committee

It's almost Back to School time and once again this year, CHBC would like to provide school supplies for the students and staff at Quinson Elementary. These supplies are greatly appreciated by the school each year. 

Items needed this year are

Pencils - short & long (all pre-sharpened)

Pencil sharpeners

Erasers

Glue sticks (no bottles please)

Crayons

Pencil crayons

Washable markers

Scissors - left/right Big & little

Small whiteboard markers

Whiteboard erasers or cloths

Duotangs (variety of colours)

Half-ruled notebooks - Hillroy green interlined

½ and full page journals - green, blue

Stickers

Graphic novels

Classroom library books 

Non-fiction animal, countries books

Fresh borders for classroom bulletin boards

Items can be placed in the large box in the foyer

Something new this year: The music teacher at Quinson has put in some requests for some new percussion items.

We will put descriptions of the items on the entry bulletin board and $$ donations can be made towards specific items.

Please designate donations as "Benevolent School Supplies" and what specific item you would like to be purchased.

Vern & Gloria Wagner, serving with NAB Camp Falcon Rock, Romania: Please pray for: (1) The remaining weeks of camp: (a) for the staff to finish well (b) for the campers, as many seeds have been planted (c) that the Lord will bring Christians into these campers’ lives to help water the seeds, and (2) for Vern & Gloria while they continue to serve at CFR and for their family in Alberta that they miss.

Missions Aviation Fellowship: As you know, CHBC supports Dominic Villeneuve with MAF. Recently, on the MAF site, there was a story about a young couple that said “Yes!” to God’s call to serve with MAF. What an adventure the Lord has them on! Read the story here. Nursery Volunteers Needed!

We are needing more help in the nursery in both services, but particularly in the 10:45 service. Please contact Joyel or Nikki if you would like to help in this ministry.
