What's happening
CHBC Summer Worship
This year we will continue to have 2 worship services throughout the summer – one at 9 am and 10:45 am. Children’s Church will be offered in the 10:45 service, but the 9 am Sunday School will not be resuming until the fall. The final Sunday School will be on June 17th.
CHBC Sunday Evening Service
After prayerful discussion, our elders have decided to move ahead with plans for a Sunday evening service, with a target launch date of Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Over the summer, our staff, elders, and Worship Committee will continue working through the details, including service structure, volunteer needs, music, hospitality, and other practical matters. A group of interested participants and potential launch team members will also be meeting later this summer to pray, connect, and prepare together.
At this stage, this is simply an FYI for the whole congregation. More information will be shared as plans develop. In the meantime, please join us in thanking God for his guidance so far, and in praying for wisdom, unity, and clarity as we prepare for the fall. Our hope is that this evening service would create more space for people to encounter Christ, grow in meaningful relationships, and experience the warmth and hospitality of our church family.

Prayers for family & missionaries
God is at work in all of our lives and in the lives of the missionaries and Christian organizations that our church family supports! So much news has been coming to the Missions Committee that it is challenging to keep everyone informed! Please remember to check out the foyer board for newsletters and enjoy reading the updates there as well as this email newsletter! “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…” Ephesians 2:10
Christiane & Tyler Horton, SIM, England: This month we have received two updates from Christiane & Tyler! Enjoy reading about their lives, ministry and answered prayer in the attached newsletters!
Dominic Villeneuve, MAF, DR Congo: Watch these interviews with Dominic on 100 Huntley Street and CTV News! Praise God for His protection over Dominic and for the strong faith that Dominic has in his Lord! Please continue to pray for Dominic, the people of DR Congo during the ongoing conflict and the Ebola outbreak, other missionaries, and medical aid staff.
