We are back to two services this Sunday at 9 am and 10:45 am, complete with Sunday School & Children’s Church.
“We wanted to say a huge thank you to our church family at CHBC for all the love and support since Jenna’s passing. Whether you prepared a meal, helped in some way with the service, or have been there as a shoulder to cry on, the many kindnesses have, and continue to be, tremendously appreciated.”

Betty Andrews – CEF, Prince George & Region:
- For 12 children who have registered for the STEM Club!
- For the blessing of a committed team - each one is involved in the club teaching, music, STEM story (George Washington Carver) & I will be doing the Bible lesson - all are helping for the STEM activities at the tables.
- So thankful for faithful prayer partners who have called or emailed this past week to assure me of prayer support.
- For clarity in our teaching times and that the love of Jesus will shine through each of us.
- That the children will work well together as they meet new kids and that they will be open to what God is saying to them through the lessons.
Chain of Love Homes, Brazil: The newsletter is on the foyer Missions board with so many good things to read about! Here is an excerpt: At Bible camps, many of our children and teenagers have an encounter with Jesus by accepting Him as their Lord and Savior. This means that by sending them to camps, you are providing an opportunity for them to listen to the Word of God from different people and hear testimonies of what God has done in their lives. They will also meet other young people who have dedicated their lives to Jesus. That investment may have repercussions in eternity: they may get saved at camp! That’s why sending them to Bible camps is extremely important.
The Driver who became a Pastor: We’re excited to share the wonderful news that Moisés, one of our drivers, has become a pastor! Moisés finished the course on pastoral formation coordinated by our great friend, missionary Lyndell Campbell Réquia, at the Baptist Theological Seminary of Rio Grande do Sul. We are happy about this achievement in his life. Moisés looks forward to seeing how the Lord will use him. Please pray that God will guide Him so he can continue doing God’s will.
Other COL Prayer Requests:
- That our children and teens will encounter Jesus, and there will be conversions at the Bible camp.
- We are in need of houseparents. Please pray for committed Christians to embrace the noble challenge of serving our children and teenagers.
- Praise the Lord for our faithful supporters who helped our ministry financially during this difficult year when many lost their jobs.
The Elders have met with Joe & Sherry Harder and recommend them for membership here at CHBC.
Drop in Basketball:
Starting January 12 we will be hosting drop in basketball each Thursday at 7 pm. Drop by the school gym at Polaris Montessori at 7005 Gladstone Dr. 16 years and up. All skill levels, come for some fellowship and fitness. No cost.
Each Wednesday starting January 11at 7 pm on Zoom we will be studying 2nd Timothy, an ideal book for men to study together. In this book we see Paul’s desire for his young protegee, Timothy to “present yourself to God as one approved, a workman...” Timothy was being molded into a man of God and this book is a wonderful guide to equip the men of God today.
