Sunday Worship Services
To comply with the latest government restrictions and to maintain the unity within our church family, the elders of CHBC have decided that all ministries are going online for the next 4 weeks (or until further notice). Our desire is for our ministries to be available to everyone equally. Effective immediately our worship service will be live-streamed on Sunday mornings at 9am. In order to stream a live service click the banner at the top of our homepage or join us on our CHBC Youtube Channel. That service will also be made available on our website immediately after it's completed, and can be streamed at any time. It will also be available on our YouTube page later on Sundays. These things are subject to updates as restrictions change.
Fall Church Clean Up
On Saturday, Oct 23 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm we will be inviting everyone to come out and help rake leaves around our church property. We will be storing rakes and providing paper bags for use under the walkway by the front entrance throughout the week prior as well, if you can't make the weekend. Thank you. Peter

Vern & Gloria Wagner – Camp Falcon Rock: Watch for the newsletter to be posted soon! Here is an excerpt: Fall is definitely in the air. Construction crews are still very busy with the main lodge. The walls are up, another floor has been poured above the kitchen and washrooms, and they will start on the gable ends and roof soon. Backfilling is happening - it is starting to look like a lodge! This building is going to be a great addition to Camp Falcon Rock. We have already had our first gathering in the new lodge basement - around 700 people! Each September the Hungarian Baptists gather here to celebrate Thanksgiving. Many people were outside listening to the band, pastors, and people who shared testimonies. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to give thanks and worship God! We are thankful for families, church, and youth groups that have booked the camp this Fall. It is encouraging to see this camp being rented and all the people enjoying the facilities.
Prayers and praises:
- Funding and many hours of work that is left on this building
- Our families and us as we deal with covid restrictions
- We are thankful for our health
- Future staff for Camp Falcon Rock. With more rentals and all the construction, the camp board has made the decision to add to the staff.
- We thank each of you for your love, support, and prayers
Only 7 Weeks until National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Shoeboxes!!
Did you know that for every shoebox delivered, children are invited back to attend a 12-week discipleship program? Last year CHBC packed an amazing 251 boxes!! That is 251 children, families and even communities that are impacted with proclaiming the truth of the gospel!
Last year, I was made aware of a child in our congregation who spent $70 from her own allowance to pack shoeboxes. She contacted several of her school friends and they packed 30 boxes together. If she can do it, so can you! Just grab a shoebox in the foyer or use a plastic/Rubbermaid container the size of a shoebox and get shopping! Each box makes a difference for eternity!
